Madhya Pradesh: Admissions not allowed with Transfer Certificate, schools demand action and approach DEO

Private school association met with district education officer (DEO) on Wednesday, raising a complaint against government schools admitting students without transfer certificates (TC). Further, the association president Gopal Soni said, “About 400 private schools had to shut down due to coronavirus pandemic and financial issues arising from the same.” He added that these schools are now making fake mark-sheets and providing TC for such students. “As per the Right to Education act (RTE), schools cannot admit a child in any class other than pre-primary without TC,” Soni said. He added that DEO Ravi Singh is also SDM and is not well-versed with RTE. “Due to which, DEO was mislead to believe that TC is not required for admissions for class 1th to class 8th,” Soni said. Khajrana Ganesh temple Indore gates will now remain open till 10 pm

Providing relief to devotees and a chance to visit Khajrana Ganesh, it was decided to keep the temple doors open till 10 pm from Wednesday. From opening of the lockdown, the temple was kept open from 9 am to 8 pm with restriction of 4 to 5 people allowed in the temple at a particular time. The number of people allowed inside the temple has also been increased to 6 now. To enter the temple, it is now compulsory to bring a certificate of having a vaccine or to show a message that the person has registered and is waiting for the slot of vaccination. Devotees will be allowed to enter the temple premises only after showing either of these. Now every day from morning till night, about five to five and a half thousand devotees come to the temple for darshan. The largest crowd gathers on Wednesdays. A special telephonic help desk dedicated to helping schools prepare the results is operational on working days from 9:30 am to 5pm, and will address queries from schools both on class X and XII results. The board also launched an online tabulation portal to help schools calculate the results. Indore: Lord Ganesha temple in Khajrana decorated with pink and blue balloons to motivate people to get vaccinated

Under vaccination campaign, Khajrana Mandir Vaccination Centre was inaugurated on Monday. In the presence of Shri Ganesh Mandir Management Committee Chairman and Collector Manish Singh, and IMC commissioner Pratibha Pal, the vaccination centre was inaugurated. All people above 18 years of age will be vaccinated at the centre. “Vaccination is the only way to avoid the third wave. Protect your children, yourself, your family and everyone by getting vaccinated. Immediate vaccination will be done by quick registration,” said temple priest Ashok Bhatt. To invite people and remind them of vaccinations, the main Ganesha temple was decorated with pink and blue balloons. Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) will conduct improvement exam for students not satisfied with marks given on the basis of internal assessment from August 15 to September 15. The dates are tentative and depend on the COVID-19 conditions, the board said in an affidavit filed in the Supreme Court on Monday. The Supreme Court was hearing a case on cancelation of class 12 board exams for students who would be appearing for compartmental exams, NIOS, and repeaters. Further, it was also decided that an opportunity will offered to students in regular mode who are not satisfied with assessment and wish to appear for written exams. Those who wish to appear for written exams will first have to register online. The facility regarding this will be offered online at CBSE’s official website - cbse.nic.in. Pall of gloom descended on Kamala Nehru Zoological Park, Indore, following the death of 17 year and 6 months old tiger B1 on Saturday. The royal Bengal tiger had moved to Indore city zoo in 2013 from Bhopal Van Vihar. Autopsy of the royal wildcat was done on Saturday to find out the cause of death.
