Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science has been selected for the AICTE Idea Lab among 49 in India from 204 colleges

One of the leading engineering institute of the state Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science has been selected for the AICTE Idea Lab. Over 204 colleges had applied for this selection from all over the country, in which 49 colleges were selected after several phases of elections, in which SGSITS from the state has made the state proud by registering its presence, under this scheme an interdisciplinary laboratory of one crore ten lakhs will be developed in the institute, which will be used by students and teachers of regional colleges and school for having hands on experience by applying science, technology, engineering and mathematics and developing idea into products.

AICTE had earlier decided to establish AICTE-IDEA (Idea Development, Evaluation & Application) Lab in AICTE approved institutions, encouraging students for application of science, technologies, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fundamentals towards enhanced hands-on experience, learning by doing and product visualisation.

Dr K K Dhakad, assistant professor in Industrial and productions; and Priyanka Bamne, assistant professor Computer Engineering department, were appointed as coordinators for the scheme by looking its of inter disciplinary approach.

This lab facility will be available 24X7 besides getting basic training in the 21st-century skills like- critical thinking, problem-solving, research, collaboration, communication, lifelong learning, etc.
