Students wondering when will JEE Main commence? Experts advise organised prep
The situation of corona epidemic in the country is now under control to some extent, due to which there is a lot of upheaval in the education sector. There is also a lot of question in the minds of students regarding engineering entrance exam JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) Main that when will these exams start?

The Union Education Ministry is likely to take a decision very soon regarding the conduct of the two remaining phases of the engineering entrance exam JEE Main in August.

This year JEE Main entrance exam is being conducted in 4 phases as per the convenience of the students and to give them opportunities to improve their scores. Accordingly, the first phase has been organized in February and the second phase has been organized in March.

Whereas the third phase was to be held in April and the fourth phase was to be held in May, but due to corana virus, the third and fourth phases of this entrance examination were temporarily stopped.

JEE advanced entrance exam was postponed. It was to be held on 3 July. No decision has been taken yet regarding NEET UG. On the other hand, a decision has to be taken regarding CUCET i.e. Central University Entrance Test.

Regarding this, a senior official said, "The situation is being reviewed so that a decision can be taken regarding the schedule of the pending two-stage JEE Main on August 1”.

Anxiety builds up, better to study now

Anxiety is at its peak among lakhs of students and aspirants, mainly due to uncertainty over the conduct of examinations and schedule, which were lined up over the next two months.

For 19-year-old Vineet Shukla, the feeling was a combination of fear and anxiety. “The constant postponement was jarring. I wanted the exam to take place in April-end with proper arrangements and planning. Now, I am feeling both scared and anxious,” he said.

“Though students could feel irritated now, on the bright side, they have additional time to study,” said Kamal Sharma, IIT Kanpur alumni, said.

Offering a similar view, JEE mentor Harpreet Singh said, “Students must prepare a list of topics, based on their importance, and use this golden opportunity to better prepare.”

He added that students must remain focused on studies despite the rescheduled exam dates.

In their drive to help underprivileged families, Christian volunteers forming a group are providing ration packets to them. School Education Department issued an advisory to all the school heads and officers regarding precautions to be taken against the deadly novel coronavirus to prevent the spread of infection among school children.
