Madhya Pradesh: Students unable to get admission in Model School, School of Excellence even after clearing entrance, due to non-issuance of TC by pvt school

Students who cleared various entrance examinations for Model school and school of excellence are unable to confirm their admission, as they cannot provide Transfer Certificate (TC) to the school. This is a challenge faced by thousands of students in Indore and about a lakh in state, as most students want to switch to government schools citing pandemic and online education.

The admission process in government schools of Madhya Pradesh began last week, and most schools are facing this challenge in admissions now.

Following coronavirus outbreak and switch to online classes, many students are seeking admission in government schools as private school operators are charging full fees. However, it’s not easy for students to get admission in government schools as private schools are not issuing TC without clearance of all the dues and fees.

Even for admission in class IX of School of Excellence and Model School, many students have not received TC from their school.

Due to this they are not able to complete the process of admission application. To take admission in these schools, the students of class VIII had given the entrance test and have also appeared in the merit.

Now if these students do not get TC from private schools, then they will be deprived of studying in both the above schools. In other government schools of the Indore also, such problems are being faced among the students during the admission process.

Reshma Patel, an eighth class student, has passed the examination for admission in class IX in the school of excellence, but she is not getting TC from the school.

Due to this the student is upset. At the same time, Aniket Sharma, a student who arrived for admission in class IX in Model School, is also not getting TC from his school.

He has studied from this school till class VIII, but due to the fees for some months of last year, the principal is not giving her TC.

More than 50 percent children of the school have arrears of fees since last year. In such a situation, if the children are leaving school, then they will have to pay the outstanding fees. Only then students can you will get TC.

This year, children of private schools are coming more for admission in class IX, but they are not getting admission due to non-availability of TC from private schools. Because of this they are getting upset.

“Most parents have not paid the school fee for last two quarters, even after fee was minimal with slashing off transport and other charges. Schools still need to pay salaries to teachers. We have no other way to ensure fee payments and further survival of schools, as we are also facing the pandemic and fall down of economy,” said Gopal Soni, private school association representative.
