‘Go Vegan!’ is not uncommon to find on roadside walks in Indore and with coronavirus outbreak, Indoreans have taken a turn towards fitness and conscious efforts to improve their immunity. CBSE result: junior assistant, stenographer & senior assistant posts

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the result of the Computer Based Test (CBT) for the post of Steno Assistant, Stenographer and Junior Assistant on its website. All candidates who appeared in the CBSE CBT 2020 can download the result through the official website of the board. CBT for all the posts was conducted between January 29 and January 31. The Junior Assistant CBT 2020 was conducted in multiple shifts, hence marks scored by the candidates have been normalised as per the formula, already uploaded by the Board on its website. The candidature of the candidates in the result notice is provisional and mere inclusion of the Roll Number and Name of the candidates does not confer any right upon the candidate over the post. MPBSE enrolment 2020: last extended to Nov 2020

The last date for enrolment to Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) examinations has been extended to November 7 for new candidates and November 25 for previously enrolled candidates. The announcement was made by the board on Friday, which was the last day for enrolments. Due to errors in app for enrolments, most students estimated as 70 percent by officers could not complete the enrolment process. Students are facing server issues and technical errors in registration process for enrolment via app. Joint Director of school education department (Indore) Manish Verma shared, “There are many students who were facing issues in enrolment, hence, the board has extended the date.” He added that teachers and schools have also been instructed to help students to facilitate the process. “Technical and server issues are being solved at state level and hopefully, they will be resolved soon and enrolment process will be completed smoothly,” Verma said.

Eid Milad 2020: Symbolic celebrations, Eid Milad marked by social activities

Because of the coronavirus outbreak, the procession of Eid Milad, i.e. Prophet's Birthday was not taken out in the city on Friday. District administration had already discussed and informed the same to senior members of the Muslim society. Community agreed and ensured that there was no gathering or procession taken out in the city. UV disinfectant for edible items, tested by IIT Indore, prepared by students

Three students from Indore have prepared Ultra Violet (UV) disinfectant that can disinfect even edible items. The disinfectant device holds an edge as it can sanitise edible items, which is often a trouble for most UV sanitisers. This product has also been tested and permitted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore, as shared by students. The three students are: Vansh Boradia, Narayan Pharkya and Priyanshu Airen. Dr Debasis Nayak, an associate professor in IIT, Indore, who examined this product and certified it, said, “The design of this machine is unique. It is very simple to use and most important feature that it has proved very effective in the technical test. School management finally lent an ear to parents as parents continued to protest in front of Chameli Devi Public School, Kesar Bagh Road on Wednesday. After day-long protest and discussions, school management decided to conduct a board meeting and said, “Parent need not pay fee as of now and they will not be pressured for the same.” Further, a school representative told parents that they need not worry about CBSE (central board of secondary education) registration either. “We will ensure that CBSE registration process is complete for all the students,” he said. Issues in enrollment amplifies troubles for MPBSE students attempting board exams this year

Studying from home especially for board examinations has already taken a toll on students and now, they are struggling to enrol themselves via app. The application has server and technical issues due to which students are not able to complete enrolment process. Students are spending hours on the app still failing to complete the process. “Attempting board examinations is already daunting and now, issues with enrolment and registrations is additional stress for us,” Seema Sharma, a student of class 10th, said. Cases of people losing their eye-sight after fighting coronavirus are on the rise due to thrombosis, i.e. blood clot that blocked the vein in eyes. Tonnes or Cubic Metre: Forest officials confused about measurement in inter-state transit

Confusion struck in forest department as officials were of different opinion on tree mensuration. A truck from Uttar Pradesh (UP) landed in Indore on Tuesday loaded with wood. However, the loaded wood was measured in tonnes as per UP’s forest department. In Madhya Pradesh (MP), it is a general predicament and rule to measure trees in cubic metres, i.e. calculating length, breath and volume. Defending his front, forest ranger Suresh Barole explained, “We do generally measure trees in cubic metres, but when the wood has already been received and sealed by UP department measured in tonnes, then we accepted the same.” He added that physically re-measuring of wood from the truck would require unloading, measurement and then loading. “There is no such rule that I know of, where we have to re-measure an entire truck load before handing over the order to businessperson,” Barole said.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released an official notice regarding the fake message of Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) 2020 new exam date being circulated on social media. CTET 2020 aspirants are advised to visit the official website -- ctet.nic.in for any updates about the next date of the CTET exam. "A Public notice dated 21/10/2020 is being circulated in Public domain regarding next date of CTET Exam on 05/11/2020. On the last day of Sharadiya Navratri, the nine-day festival of Shakti worship was performed in most Hindu households on Sunday. Bengali committee east celebrated ‘Ashtami’ with fervour as community members gathered in pandal seeking blessings of goddess Durga on Saturday. Charged under IPC 428/429 for tying Dog in sunlight & arresting others in cage

For tying a dog outside his home in scorching sunlight and keeping other dogs in a cage, a case was registered against Vinod Mehra. Resident of Bhoi Mohalla, Mehra was charged under Animal Cruelty Act 1960 Indian Penal Code 428 \ 429 Under Dog Rules 2017 and the case was registered at Sadar Bazar police station. As per complaint raised based on information received from animal lovers in the area, Priyanshu Jain state coordinator at MP police assistance centre against animal cruelties along with Sadar Bazar police station in-charge Ajay Kumar Verma visited Mehra’s home. In their investigation, three dogs were found in bad condition. One was tied outside the home in sunlight and barking due to hunger. Another two were found in cages inside the home in bad condition. Dussehra 2020: The New Normal for Ravana is shorter, dearer & less crowded

Dussehra or Vijayadashami marking the end of both Durga Puja and the nine-day long Navratri festival will be celebrated in Indore on Sunday. Celebrated with much fervour, the day symbolises the victory of good over evil when Goddess Durga killed Mahishasura, the demon king. It is also said that this was the day when Lord Rama defeated Raavan. The new normal after covid-19 outspread is yet to come into place and in case of education, a lot is expected to change. State Education Department is re-organising syllabus of primary and middle school and further determining the technique of education. As per initial plans, syllabus from Class I to VIII will be re-organized and 60 percent of classes will be conducted through various online channels, radio-TV and door-to-door. Further, 40 percent of syllabus majorly covering difficult portions of practical subjects will be taught in school. Also, project-based and assignment-based work is being considered to ensure better understanding of difficult subjects. Over 7,000 devotees reached Bijasen Mata Temple and Annapurna Mata Temple each on Friday, i.e. seventh day of Navratri. On the 7 th day of Navratri also known as Maha Saptami, Hindu devotees worship Maa Kalratri form of the Goddess Durga, as shared by Annapurna temple priest Harishankar Sharma Shastri. Narendra Singh Jhabua and Priyavrat Singh Khilchipur have been elected unopposed in the election of Board of Governors of Daly College (DC). The two have been elected in the first category is for those donors who are old owners, i.e. those people who were a part of the board when the school was first built. The two were again elected, as no candidate filed nomination papers against him on the last day of nomination in the Old Donor category of elections to be held in December. Forest department, which is expected to protect trees and forests, is busy chopping off the last trees on its campus in Indore division and furthermore, planning to shut down the nursery as well. The situation becomes worrisome as department officials do not blink an eye while setting fire to remains of the only black bamboo tree in the city. Legal activist Abhijeet Pandey brought the incident to light raising the issue with Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (PCCF) on Sunday.
