Highest operating beam power KIRTI-1010 developed by RRCAT Invention to help in cancer treatments & more RRCAT has developed a new, powerful 10 MeV, 10 KW electron linear accelerator (Linac) named as KIRTI-1010 and signed an agreement with Microtrol Sterilization Services Private Limited, Mumbai, for sharing the technology on Friday. Linac is a device commonly used for external beam radiation treatments for patients with cancer. The linac will be used for electron beam radiation processing and has added to the “Atma Nirbhar Bharat” capabilities in this high-tech area. The linac has the highest operating beam power level in the country. The linac has been tested extensively at RRCAT. In order to take this high-tech Indian technology for wider application in the society, it is first necessary to test this system in Indian industrial environment. Studying in school will not be a matter of just clearing examinations rather it will be more focused on proficient learning of skills now as school education will soon have credit system. The credit system will enable students to learn a skill and be proficient in it by spending a minimum number of hours of learning the same. Close to the understanding of learning a skill and becoming an outlier, the system will require that students spent a minimum amount of time learning the skill. For the purpose of credit calculations under National Credit Framework (NCrF), 30 notional learning hours will be counted as one Credit. Until now, schools have been focused on best results and passing percentage, but that is about to take a turn with the credit system. Four-day `Chhath Mahaparv' will begin in city with `Nahai-Khai' tomorrow The biggest festival of the worship of Sun God- the four-day `Chhath festival ' will begin in the city with `Nahay Khay' on 28 October. On this day, the Chhath devotees and their families will clean and purify their houses. Thereafter, the devotees will take a bath and will consume pure vegetarian food. `Kharna' will be organized on the second day of Chhath Mahaparva on October 29 (Saturday), wherein the devotees after observing fast for the whole day, will cook kheer made of rice and jaggery and wheat flour roti on a new earthen chulha. A habitual offender who extorts money from school owners was arrested by MG police station for assaulting former president of MP board private school association Arun Kharat on Friday. The offender named Sanjay Mishra has already been reported several times with filling of 12 complaints and 4 FIRs in Indore. Kharat, director of Indore Convent School, Sheetal Nagar, was attacked with a weapon (knife) by the alleged blackmailer Mishra. Kharat suffered injuries wherein his hand was bleeding. Further, after the medical, an FIR was registered at MG Road police station.
