Controversy Surfaces at SGSITS Over Former Official's Unusual Request

A controversy has surfaced at Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS) after its former Controller of Examinations, Leeladhar Malviya, made a highly unusual and extreme request following his removal from the post.

According to institute sources, Malviya, who was recently relieved of his responsibilities, penned a letter to the director seeking a specific and inappropriate permission: to “die outside his room.”

The statement, described as extreme by those within administrative and academic circles, has triggered widespread concern regarding the professional conduct and internal climate of the prominent government-aided engineering institute.

The letter is believed to have been written in response to Malviya’s dissatisfaction over his sudden removal from the administrative position. While no immediate official action followed the specific remark, the tone and wording of the communication have led to intense internal discussions.

SGSITS officials have not yet released a detailed public statement regarding the incident. However, sources indicate that the matter is being treated with significant sensitivity. Internal reviews are reportedly underway to better understand the circumstances surrounding both the removal of the former controller and the nature of the subsequent grievance.

As a leading institution in Indore, the incident at SGSITS has raised broader questions about grievance handling and administrative transparency in academic settings.
