JEE Main 2023 Day 1: Moderate difficulty with lengthy Maths, easy Physics Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 first session began on Tuesday, wherein most students found the examination ‘moderately difficult’ and ‘manageable’. Students attempting the exams in Indore cited that Mathematics section was lengthy and challenging, while physics was easier than expected. The first attempt will be till February 1, 2023. There were three examination centres in Indore. The Exam was conducted in two shifts on the exam dates in both Session 1 and Session 2. The first shift was from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and Second Shift was from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. “The examination was moderately difficult and I found Maths to be very challenging,” Aman Sharma, an aspirant, said. Air India settlement pumps up UCO bank's profit in last quarter Soma Sankara Prasad, managing director and chief executive officer, UCO bank In a press conference on Tuesday, UCO Bank managing director and chief executive officer Soma Sankara Prasad shared that payment of interest from Air India jumped the profit up of the bank substantially in the last quarter. Further, reporting the profit of the bank, Prasad said, “UCO bank has reported more than two-fold jump in profit at Rs 653 crore for the quarter ended December 2022, driven by increase in interest income and decline in bad loans.” A major portion of this profit comes from Air India. “We had a pending interest from Air India for a very long time and the company settled the interest in accumulation amounting upto Rs 200 crore,” Prasad said. Last day for JEE Main 2023 Jan corrections National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the correction window on Sunday, January 14, 2023 for JEE Main Exam 2023. Candidates who want to make corrections in the application form can do it through the official site of NTA JEE at jeemain.nta.nic.in . As per JEE’s notice, candidates can modify their particulars in the online application form of JEE Main 2023 Session 1. Further, students must note that there no correction in particulars that will be entertained by NTA under any circumstances. MP’s first woman with 2 SR titles Making her mark not once, but twice, 39-year-old general physician employed in Indian Railways Dr Sapna Khatri became Madhya Pradesh's first woman who earned the title of ‘Super Randonneur’ (SR) twice. Super Randonneur is a special medal awarded to those randonneurs who successfully complete a challenging series of cycling events known as ‘brevets’ (200, 300, 400, and 600-kilometers) in a year. Sapna had won this title back in 2018-19 for the first time. Further, in the year 2022-23, she won the title again and earned the record of being first such female in state.
