Hope is in built in Indians... meet specially gifted National Sports Champ!
Meet the inspiring national sports star Devyani Walhe. A student of Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Indore, Devyani is an inspiring role-model of strength and positivity.
She was born unique and as my parents (Monica and Vasant Walhe) say, ‘it is god’s way of giving me something better in life’. Finding and excelling in sports is probably that better way.
“I was born with one less developed arm, i.e. one of my hands was missing and arm was only till elbow,” Devyani said. Being honest, she admits that it did not bother herbecause her parents always motivated her.
“I have always been inclined towards physical activities and sports much more than sitting and reading a book. I started with learning to dance, then swim and eventually found my passion in table tennis,” Devyani said.
Her coach Prashant Vyas directed her towards table tennis. “The sport agreed with my passion and soon, I got chance to play state and nationals,” Devyani said. She has won bronze in three national championships and one bronze in state. “I hope to practise more and eventually make my way into international events. I have already represented India in Indonesia’s para open championship,” Devyani said.

India’s special vision Youngest Entrepreneur, rewarded at Shark Tank too!
The true vision of India is lies in its strength, positivity and persearvance. Representing this is 11-year-old Prathamesh Sinha. He is the youngest entrepreneur, currently studying at Orchids The International School, Undhri, Pune.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi called out to Prathamesh during his visit to the Digital India Week 2022, held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Modi said, “Confident people like Prathamesh are making the future better for the country”.
He is an inspiration to those who despite having physical shortcomings have managed to achieve something in life with his never-give-up attitude and indomitable zeal for life.
Prathamesh is the visually challenged boy who participated in a business reality show, Shark Tank India, as the youngest entrepreneur and won the hearts of some of the finest business moguls of India.
Prathamesh, who has the same traits as Helen Keller, never lacks motivation. It’s surprising to see a young boy, who has never experienced the world through his eyes but has a clearest vision of life than anybody else.
He wanted to join the Indian Army but due to the policies of the army he won't be able to do so, instead, he aspires to become an IAS officer as he wishes to serve the country as he improvises his interpersonal, social, and cognitive skills.
Prathamesh was also invited to deliver motivational speeches. Aman Gupta, Founder, BoAT, recently invited him to his office and made Prathamesh the CEO for a day, and offered him a scholarship. Needless to say, this little boy won the hearts of everybody who were onboard.
While winding up his optimistic speech, the 11-year-old said, “Ae zindagi tu mujhe kab tak rulayegi? Meri himmat dekhke tu bhi ruk jayegi”.
Prathamesh also loves singing, reciting poetry, and learning new things. He loves reading current affairs. At this age, he is extremely spiritual and loves chanting shlokas. He has a keen interest in playing musical instruments such as harmonium and ukulele.
Prathamesh gives us reminders that if we have strong will power to achieve our dreams any kind of physical and psychological shortcomings cannot stop us from achieving it. We should just keep faith in ourselves and work hard to get what we truly desire.

We stand together as Indians: Budding Air Force Pilot & Khelo India Champ
“My dream is to serve as an Air Force Pilot to my country and to represent India in my sport Table Tennis.
Presently I hold second rank in M.P. in U-19 Girls category. I'm getting a chance to participate in the Khelo India Youth Games 2023!
I'm playing Table Tennis since I was 8 years old so now it has become a daily part of my life which I can never skip. I also have many achievements in this game like being the state champion in U-15 girls’ category and I've been representing Madhya Pradesh in the National Championship tournaments since 2015.
It is very overwhelming and content moment for me, because it would be first time in my life to play Khelo India event whose credit goes to the general secretary of Madhya Pradesh Table Tennis Association Jayesh Acharya; my coaches Sanjay Mishra and Nilesh Pardeshi; and my parents.
I'm inspired by famous badminton player PV Sindhu due to her multi tasking skills. I want to give to a message to all the children out there holding dreams in their eyes that "success isn't easy". You have to grind through and achieve it. God will break you again and again but the real winner is who never stops grinding for their dreams. Just work really hard for what you want and don't think if you're failing or anything that's pulling you down, just keep on going. Never stop when you're tired, stop when you're done!”

Selected for Khelo India 2023, 13-year-old Bhagyashree Dave dreams of representing India in International Table Tennis championship soon and bring home many medals. Her dream is for India and making the country proud.
She is a student of The Emerald Heights International School, Indore.
She has played 7 nationals, won 5 state championships and was a winner in 11 state rankings.
“I started playing in 2019 that time my age is 10 firstly my mom and dad supported, but the rest of our relatives and family objected,” Bhagyashree said. However, that was just an initial restriction that she surpassed with her parents’ support.
“After a few months, I got an opportunity to play for tournaments outside Indore,” Bhagyashree said. The restrictions were more, but again, she went on and is now, inspiration to everyone.
Her message: If you are a girl living in India want to follow your passion you have to fight for your rights because for girls most of the things are restricted before if you want to live life you have to fight with this world and prove them wrong. Yes, as a girl, you face a major challenge as you become weak during your period, but don’t give up. You are strong and capable.
I express gratitude to my parents, my elder brother and my coach Prashant Aher. He supported me financially and mentally. I have no words to say anything about him because for me he is God in my life.
