Global Wind Day: MP needs more focus on Wind Power to beat possible Climatic Change

Global Wind Day  MP needs more focus on Wind Power to beat possible Climatic Change Two major wind power energy plants, though approved, are yet waiting to get commissioned in Madhya Pradesh (MP). There are eight projects, which are approved and commissioned. Though it doesn’t seem like a bad number, the progress and growth is rather slow, as there are 17 active such projects which are registered and not even sent for approvals as yet. Further, 18 more projects are registered and not sent for approvals, hence, labelled as inactive now. A little push in the direction of utilising wind power can help achieve the state’s and country’s goals to move from non-renewable to renewable resources of energy. However, as per officials, the process takes time and it’s just bureaucratic work. Madhya Pradesh aims to produce at least 50 percent of its energy from renewable resources. Father's Day Special 2022: High involvement of fathers improves development of children and results in better cognitive growth.

High involvement of fathers improves development of children and results in better cognitive growth. This was shown in several researches including internationally recognised researches conducted by Fathima Bushra Saliha and Jayan C. The research showed that children with highly involved fathers show a better cognitive ability than children with averagely or less involved fathers. So, while we have been labelling the role of fathers as providers and protectors, their involvement in raising kids is equally important. Psychiatrists and educationists in Indore recognise this fact and urge parents to ensure the involvement of fathers in day-to-day activities with children as well. “About a decade ago, the challenge was to involve fathers in raising kids, but now, it’s more complicated, as many families are now headed by single parents,” Sangeeta Uppal, an educationist said. Her experience is supported by latest report from United Nation, which estimated that 7.5 percent of households in In...

Another leopard was seen in Indore's Sendal and Chainpura area and hunted cattle in the village, seeking an easy prey, on Friday. It’s images were captured in CCTV and villagers after seeing the leopard stayed on vigil, as they feared attack and loss of life. After the leopard attack in Dudhi Bawdi and Gajinda, most villagers in the surrounding areas of Indore are scared of possible attacks. While the forest department does justify that those huts where attacks happened were encroaching forest areas, there is also a chance that leopards are running out of prey. Hence, human-animal conflict is expected. The forest department has issued a warning to villagers to be careful and beware of leopards in the circle. The leopard hunted cattle in the village in the wee hours of Friday. After this, there was panic in the village citing movement of leopard. The panic spread to the villages adjoining the forest areas. Throughout the night, the villagers kept a watch around their homes with torc...
