Magic pH Tea

Watch science fizz and colours dance in a cup! This experiment shows how pH levels affect natural pigments.

Materials Needed:
  • Dried butterfly pea flowers
  • Hot water
  • Lemon juice or vinegar
  • Clear glass cups

Instructions:

  1. Brew flowers in hot water until the tea turns bright blue.
  2. Add a few drops of lemon juice. Watch the colour change from blue to purple or pink!

Try it: Experiment with different amounts of lemon juice. Can you make a gradient?

Tessellation Toast

Cucumber & Mint Yogurt Toast

Inspired by the geometry of Maryam Mirzakhani, let's create edible tessellations.

Materials Needed:
  • Whole wheat or multigrain bread
  • Thick plain yogurt (dahi)
  • Thin cucumber slices
  • Fresh mint & Chaat masala

Instructions:

  1. Spread thick chilled yogurt over your toast.
  2. Arrange cucumber slices in a fun pattern—hexagons, stripes, or a smiley face!
  3. Garnish with mint and a pinch of salt.
