Harshita Tops JEE Advanced 2025 Among Girls toppers in MP, Kanpur zone
Harshita Goyal from Indore secured the top position among girls in the Kanpur zone and Madhya Pradesh in the JEE Advanced 2025 examination. She is the city topper for Indore and state topper for Madhya Pradesh. The results were announced on Monday, June 2. Goyal achieved a Common Rank List (CRL) position of 434.
Earlier this year, she had scored 99.90 percentile in the JEE Main 2025, becoming the state topper among girls in Madhya Pradesh.
Goyal began preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination in Class 11 and followed a fixed schedule, attending coaching from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Speaking about her preparation strategy, she said, “I revised regularly and focused on clearing concepts. I tried to identify weak areas and improve them.”
During her preparation, Goyal was diagnosed with typhoid and later pneumonia, which kept her away from studies for over a month. She said her family played a key role in helping her recover and resume her studies. “My grandmother came to stay with us during that time, which made it easier for me to get back on track,” she said.
Goyal stated that she plans to pursue Computer Science or Artificial Intelligence at IIT Bombay. When asked about her future goals, she said she was interested in technology and wanted to work in a field related to data and automation.
Apart from academics, Goyal said she spent her free time reading, doing art and craft, and travelling. She also said that she avoided social media during her preparation to minimize distractions.
Teachers at her coaching institute described her as consistent and focused. “She maintained discipline throughout her preparation, even during illness,” one of her mentors said.
Goyal’s result places her among the top engineering aspirants in the country this year.
