First-ever survey @Eco Park in Indore Records over 80 bird & 33 butterfly species TINA KHATRI In a significant step for wildlife conservation, the first-ever bird and butterfly survey was conducted at Eco Park, located in Umrikheda village on Khandwa Road, 13 km from Indore. The survey was a collaborative effort between the Indore Forest Department and Wild Warriors, an organization dedicated to wildlife conservation in the region. Over 15 volunteers, along with officials from the Forest Department, completed the survey. The results were impressive, with more than 80 bird species and 33 butterfly species recorded during the event. Notable Species Among the bird species identified during the survey were the Mottled Wood Owl, Oriental Turtle Dove, Yellow-crowned Woodpecker, Black-headed Cuckoo Shrike, Indian Golden Oriole, White-bellied Drongo, and Redstart, highlighting the ecological diversity of the area. SGSITS submits proposal to set up a Green Hydrogen Centre of Excellence

In line with India's ambitious vision for a green energy future, Shri G.S. Institute of Technology & Science (SGSITS), Indore, submitted a proposal showing its interest in establishing a Green Hydrogen Centre of Excellence (CoE) under the National Green Hydrogen Mission to Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MOEFCC) chairman Hiralal Patidar, during his visited to the college on Tuesday. The Indian Government, through the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), had issued a Call for Proposals (CfP) on November 4, 2024, inviting public and private entities to submit proposals for setting up Centres of Excellence (CoE) to advance Green Hydrogen technologies. With an allocated budget of Rs. 19,744 crores up to FY 2029-30, this mission is a vital part of India's strategy to transition to a low-carbon economy and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. New Hope for Rural Students: IIT JEE Advanced opens 3rd attempt for aspirants About 1,000 aspirants coming to Indore, at least 5,000 in MP to get a fairer chance About 1,000 students coming from villages to Indore and at least 5,000 in Madhya Pradesh will be able to fulfil their dream of studying in the top engineering institutes in the country, specifically Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT). This is credited to the latest update by IIT Kanpur, the organising institute of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2025. The latest update in eligibility criteria for the said exam allowed candidates to take a third attempt at JEE Advanced 2025. Hence, students can attempt JEE Advanced up to three times within three consecutive years, an increase from the previous limit of two attempts over two years.
