Breaking records, Girls top JEE Main 2024 For the first time in history, a girl bagged the title of Indore city topper in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. The inspirational girl is Shrestha Goyal with AIR 167 with 99.99%. Shrestha, though not officially announced by NTA, has also scored highest marks among girls in JEE Main 2024 and hence is girls topper in state. Second highest rank in the city was earned by Rishit Mittal. His rank is 226. Third place was also bagged by a girl named Riddhi Motwani, who scored 99.9859% and was ranked 326 in All India Ranking (AIR) of the examination. The combined result of two JEE Main conducted in 2024 were released on Thursday. MPBSE Class 10 Results: Passing % of Indore @64.25%, Jahnvi makes it to state’s merit list Indore outshone some other districts in Indore division in Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) board examinations of class 10 by averaging to third highest passing percentage. MPBSE released class 10 board results on Wednesday. Indore’s passing percentage was 64.25 percent, which was the highest the state. Jhabua inked second highest passing percentage with 69.56 percent. MPBSE Class 12 Results: Passing % of Indore @76.27% Indore outshone all other districts in the Indore division in Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) board examinations of class 12 by averaging to highest passing percentage. MPBSE released class 12 board results on Wednesday. Indore’s passing percentage was 76.27 percent, which was the highest the state. This year has been a year of delays and stress for new schools that plan to open their doors for students in Indore. Over 75 new schools had filed their application for affiliation to the state board since December, but the process was delayed at the end of district project coordinator (DPC) resulting in still pending approvals till the end of April. As per protocol, all the approvals or rejections must be finalised latest by mid of April, but there was no update on the portal until recently. "There were some issues that we faced in our department, but we are working to resolve them," district project coordinator (dpc) Shanta Swami said. She added that the process was delayed, but is picking up speed. Schools whose recognition was delayed have been raising complaints and trying to approach dpc. Students of Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS) researched and made digital stethoscopes at one tenth of the usual price of one. A digital stethoscope usually costs around Rs 20,000 and the students prepared one under the cost of Rs 2,000. In fact, if produced in bulk, the price can easily be brought down to Rs 1,500, as per the team of developers. Schools reopened with first-day fest celebrations The education session 2024-25 for government schools and some higher classes started on Monday. Students were welcomed with tilak and prayers for their better future in government schools. The results of class 9 and 11 were also released on Monday. District Education Officer Manglesh Vyas said that the new education session started in private and government schools recognized by Mashiman from Monday. “First-day festival was celebrated on the first day,” Vyas said.
