Hope lights up for Middle-Class to build a Home
The interim budget announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman brought light to help deserving sections of the middle class “living in rented houses, or slums, or chawls and unauthorized colonies” to buy or build their own houses."
This announcement brought hope to many families, who have been residing in rented houses and apartments for decades. Every person wishes to have a home and not have to rent a roof. However, that’s not easy with rising inflation, hiking interest rates on home loans and limited income.
Hence, the possible support from the government brings a wave of hope among residents of Indore.
A professional Lakshya Singh Sekhawat said, “Building a house of your own is a dream for almost everyone, but it’s a difficult dream financially. With the support of the government, we are hopeful of achieving our dream.”
The family hopes to build a home of their dreams. Since most people cannot afford to have their own home, they rent an apartment in the main area of the city or crowd into a small home with a joint family.
A homemaker Rakhi Jaisinghani said, “We are living in a developing country, but it is often hard to beat inflation and still be able to afford basic needs, which includes housing. The housing scheme for once might benefit the middle-class too, which we expected.”
