Two arrested for killing three Nilgai Two poachers from Khargone were arrested by the forest department and sent to jail on the orders of district court for brutal killing of three Nilgai or blue cows on Wednesday. The axe used for hunting was also recovered from the accused —Santosh Sisodiya and Eesharam. Sisodiya, son of Bahadur, is 30 years old. Eesharam, son of Chanchiya, is 35 years old. Madhya Pradesh: Indore Leopard attacks a cow, scratches and runs away

The leopard family resurfaced in Nainod area and attacked a cow on Tuesday. However, they left the cow with just a few scratches and did not get to feast on it. Possibly the leopards are hungry and have strayed too far from the forest area. The attack is estimated to be done at midnight, shared divisional forest officer (DFO) Mahendra Solanki. "The attack happened in Nayabasera, which is an area right below Bijasen Tekri," he said. He added that Nayabasera, Nainod and Infosys come under the same area with a perimeter of 1 kilometre. Following the information of an attack on the cow, the forest team reached the spot and found pugmarks. "The pugmarks were small, so we suspected it to be another wild cat, possibly a hyena at first," Solanki said. Madhya Pradesh: Leopard family continues to stray around Infosys and TCS since 10 days moving into nearby societies

The leopardess and her two cubs roaming in the Super Corridor area continue to trouble forest department and IT companies in the area. The family was first spotted ten days back and on Thuraday, a cub was seen, which is said to be of Ekdant Society near Nainod village. After the video showing the cub surfaced, the forest department rescuers searched the society for six hours, but to no avail. Fearing that he was hiding in a drain, the forest workers even burst crackers. The activities of leopard in the surrounding fields were monitored through drones, but not a single proof or pugmark was found. Since last Tuesday, the Forest Department staff is busy searching for the leopard. After Infosys , cages were installed in Samarth Colony in Nanod village on Wednesday. Panic gripped software engineers and IT professionals of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Infosys from mid-day on Tuesday, as a leopard was spotted straying outside their offices. The companies handled the situation by asking employees to stay in, closing the gates and calling upon forest rescue teams. Forest department teams were informed about the same at 12 pm, after which a rescue team started from the office in Navratan Bagh. A local team of rescuers arrived at the spot to control the situation till the forest team arrives. Around 1:30 pm, the forest team arrived and brought a cage to rescue the leopard.
