On the occasion of International Women's Day on 8th March, 'Gramin Gaurav Samman' will be given to women working in remarkable rural environment for building self-reliant India.
Under this award, in the first category, 'Gaudhan Samman' will be given to the mother power who has made a remarkable contribution in the field of cow breeding, agriculture and cow service. Also, in the second category, 'Nari Kaushal Samman' will be given for the remarkable contribution of the women of rural areas for the construction of self-reliant India.
This will be an innovative and unique award given to rural startups.
Member of Parliament Sankar Lalwani, patron of Lok Sanskriti Manch, said that on the occasion of International Women's Day, this honour will be given to women who have done remarkable work in rural areas.
“Generally people working in urban areas are respected, but those working for the betterment of the village will be giving this respect and honour to rural women,” Lalwani said.
Ekta Mehta, coordinator of Lok Sanskriti Manch Self-Reliant India Training Centre said that the purpose of this award is to felicitate women who are mothers and doing empowering work. The women who are doing remarkable work in rural areas for the creation of self-reliant India will be given the respect.
