Announcing this after discussion with chief guest municipal commissioner Pratibha Pal, chairman of Indore Sahodaya Complex of CBSE schools UK Jha addressed a media conference at Shri Gujarati Samaj School in Vijay Nagar, Indore, on Monday.
“As we go into the depth of visualizing the change in human perception, it’s very apparent that we have been exploiting the natural resources to a great extent since ages but the efforts made in the direction of its preservation have been very less,” Jha said.
“Indian philosophy and Integral humanism have always portrayed us all to be the worshippers of nature but nowadays this culture is declining because we have denied the importance and care of nature from our life principles,” Pal said.
Dr Anil Kumar, an environmentalist, from Chhattisgarh also made recommendations for preserving the environment and engagement of schools in the drive.
In order to create awareness amongst the coming generation and the society as a whole, Sahodaya Group took the following decisions with IMC:
Eco Year
To declare the year 2022-23 as ECO YEAR. Throughout the year Harit Malwa Samiti and Sahodaya Group will jointly make efforts to preserve the environment. This will be celebrated throughout the year with various activities.

Tree plantations
All the schools will strive to create awareness amongst students for saving trees, conserving water and reducing the use of plastics.
Plantation drive would be organized during rainy season. Sahodaya Group of Schools and Harit Malwa Samiti most humbly invite everyone to join this noble mission. Lend a hand to make our clean city Indore, a Green and Eco-friendly city.

Environment Nodal Officer
Schools will appoint ENO. The officer will be responsible for many activities. Environment awareness rallies would be organized time to time for creating awareness in the society.
This issue will be given due importance during the different programmes, PTM and workshops conducted in school.

Before Pentecost, Christian community helps underprivileged families with ration

Prior to Pentecost, Christian community is following the lessons taught by Jesus Christ and helping those in need. In their drive to help underprivileged families, Christian volunteers forming a group are providing ration packets to them. Christian holiday of Pentecost, which is celebrated the 49th day (the seventh Sunday) after Easter Sunday, will be celebrated on May 31 this year. School Education Department issued an advisory to all the school heads and officers regarding precautions to be taken against the deadly novel coronavirus to prevent the spread of infection among school children. The advisory was sent out at the direction of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India with a photocopy of the letter attached.
