Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS) has released the merit list for the College Level Counseling (CLC) stage on Monday. A total of 395 students' names have been included in this list from applicants.
The counseling was conducted on Sunday. This time the institute received a much higher number of applicants in CLC stage.
Further, from the applicants, many students were able to secure seats to study Bachelor of Engineering (BE) at the state’s leading engineering institute.
According to the merit list, after the main counseling is done, the students who made the All India rank (AIR) 24,485 in JEE have also applied for the remaining seats of the institute.
However, in the category of JEE, over 8 lakh rankers applied. On the basis of merit list, students who had good marks have been given admission in various branches.
Now if any student leaves from this, then only the student included in the merit list will be given admission.
Dr. Rakesh Saxena, the director of the institute, said that more students came this time to appear in the CLC phase than in previous years.
“Many times a seat is not available in the main counseling and in the CLC stage such a situation is created that the student gets the seat,” Dr Saxena said.
He added that in such a situation, many students join it to take admission in SGSITS.
He informed that after getting admission to the students, now the process of providing hostel has been started. Hostels are being given to outside students.
“Many old students have delayed vacating the hostel rooms due to the pandemic, they have also been informed so that now the hostel can be available to the new students,” Dr Saxena said.
