You have a gun? I will shot you right away said forest sub divisional officer Dinesh Vaskele to a forest guard of Ralamandal.
“You have a gun? I will shot you right away,” said forest sub divisional officer Dinesh Vaskele to a forest guard of Ralamandal. Following this threat from the officer, the guard named Devendra Singh Tomar registered a complaint against the officer and cited various incidents when the official has been misusing his authority at Tejaji Nagar police station.
The complaint said, “On September 25, 2021, SDO Dinesh Vaskele threatened to shoot and kill me, when I sought half day leave from the officer for my daughter’s examination.”
Tomar added that Vaskele has been mentally torturing him for a long time.
"He (Vaskele) asks me to do his private tasks of home including asking to drop his kids to school, bringing his shoes from home and other tasks," Tomar said.
However, in response to this, Vaskele said, "How is it possible that I am asking Tomar to drop my kids, when none of the schools are open?" He questioned that why would he ask Tomar to bring shoes and not wear them from home instead.
Tomar in his complaint has added, "If anything happens to me in future, then SDO should be held responsible."
He further cited the mental torture faced by him and might result in dire consequences.
There have been other instances questioning SDO as many forest workers demanded transfers under his leadership. There was another complaint regarding abusive behaviour of Vaskele that was registered a couple of months back as well.
Tomar said, "I had just asked for a half day leave and he (Vaskele) abused and threatened me."
