Yadav had amazingly missed the spot for state topper in the second attempt very closely to his classmate Antriksh last time. He had gained the spot in third attempt.

This time, both of them made it as city toppers.

“What worked for me and is my advice to all the aspirants is: Follow your teachers’ guidance and work less but work consistently,” Yadav said. He added that consistent studies helped him get better every day.

“I am on cloud 9 today, but I have been working at least 8 to 9 hours every day to get here, so you know how much this means to me,” Yadav said. He would play cricket in free time to relax and rejuvenate.

“I want to say a big thanks to my entire family, i.e. father Dilip Yadav, mother Hiramani Yadav, grandfather Ramkishan Yadav, my uncle Jitendra and auntie Sunita, for supporting me especially during challenges of lockdown,” Yadav said.

State female topper: AIR 1174 (Gen) Mansi Sodhani

“I have been focused on becoming engineer forever. I am inspired by father (engineer and educationist Rajesh Sodhani),” Mansi said. She is more inclined towards studying architecture and planning.

“I studied for 8 to 10 hours to crack the exam. I would also de-stress by playing table tennis everyday 4 games with my father,” Mansi said.

She expressed gratitude to her mother homemaker Aarti for supporting her. “She (mother) has played a vital role in my success. She taught me to focus on concept and not marks,” Mansi said.

She is very influenced and attached to her grandparents (Rani Sodhani and SS Sodhani).

City Topper: AIR 81 (Gen) Antriksh Gupta

“I was the state topper in second attempt, but I didn’t worry about topping even this time, I just studied and gave my best,” Antriksh Gupta said.

He would study for 8 to 10 hours every day to clear concepts. “I decided to become an engineer in grade 10,” Antriksh said.

Both parents are school teachers so that’s one reason for him to study hard. “My mother Aprana Gupta is a science teacher and my father Lakhan Lal Gupta is a maths teacher,” Antriksh said.

He added that online classes did baffle the system, but he focused on self-studies.

“We missed classroom environment, but managed to study,” Antriksh said.

His success mantra is ‘Always listen to teachers, work hard and be thankful for your family support’.
