Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF) Indore division sought further details on previous complaints against Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) as he is not satisfied with preliminary investigation, statements recorded.

Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF) Indore division sought further details on previous complaints against Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) as he is not satisfied with preliminary investigation, statements recorded.

This was ordered on Monday, a day after recording of statements. Several sources had already claimed that evidences are being tempered.

The dispute between the Ralamandal SDO and the employee is being suppressed. On Sunday, the Divisional Forest Officer conducted a preliminary inquiry in the matter.

But the CCF is not very satisfied, because the statements recorded were claimed to be made under pressure from the eyewitnesses.

Now statements can be recorded again.

Employee union approached CCF, demanded transfer

Another incident that brought question on the investigation on Monday was from employees' union. The union approached CCF and sought his help in the investigation.

The officials have placed the demand of transfer of the SDO in front of the CCF-DFO so that the investigation is not affected by the senior officers.

The dispute at hand

On Saturday, there was a dispute between SDO Dinesh Vaskel and forest guard Devendra Tomar over performing duty at the main gate of the sanctuary.

Immediately after the incident, the Tomar complained to Tejaji Nagar police station that SDO Vaskel had used abusive words against him and also threatened to shoot him.

Tomar gave the names of Sarla Sondia and Vikas Yogi as eyewitnesses to the incident. SDO Vaskel denied the allegations on Sunday.

The investigation

In the matter, DFO Narendra Pandwa launched an interrogation on Sunday and recorded preliminary statements. According to sources, on Monday, the DFO told the information related to the preliminary investigation to CCF HS Mohanta.

The CCF did not appear to be much satisfied with the statements of the eyewitnesses. It is being told that the matter can be investigated by other DFOs.

According to departmental sources, old complaints related to SDO are also being called. The information about the matter has also reached the headquarters.

CCF HS Mohanta said, “Many points were missing in the investigation of the case related to the dispute. By the way, information has been sought about other complaints related to SDO. Then the investigation will be done.”

Investigation will be affected

On Monday, Dinesh Sharma, Bhim Singh Kushwaha, Antarsingh Bais, Durgesh Kushwaha, Suryanarayan Yadav and other officials of Forest Employees Union first met DFO Pandwa.

He said that the statement has been recorded. The controversy has been exaggerated. Not a single eyewitness spoke of shooting. Later the delegation met CCF Mohanta.

The officials said that both Sarla Sondia and Vikas Yogi also work under the SDO. In such a situation, anyone will be able to give a proper statement.

Due to this, the SDO will be transferred to another place till the investigation goes on so that the investigation is not affected.
