A workshop on Flow Agility Dance (FAD) was organised online in Indore. The aim of the workshop was to encourage better emotional and physical health through dance.
Dance teacher Ashish Pillai led the participants through various activities to help participants overcome negative self-image and enhance positive body image.
Activities like ‘me in a mirror’, ‘whirlpool of joy’ were used to boost confidence in self. Further, it helped in releasing pent up emotions.
Workshop laid emphasis on the importance of spending time with one self. During the course of workshop guided meditation and breathing exercises were also taken up.
The activities were focused on helping people during lockdown and releasing locked up energy in a constructive way.
“Dance can be an important tool in mood elevation, stress busting and great physical psychological booster,” Pillai said. The workshop was attended by more than 35 participants.
The participants felt boost after the workshop. They felt relaxed and more confidence to deal with confinement in the four walls of the house.
