Environmentalist Padma Shri Janak McGilligan Palta conducted Virtual Training on preparing Natural Colours for Holi.
She USED Flowers, Plants and Fruits for making colours. “To prepare liquid colours, we can boil the tinted fruits and flowers in water, for example, Malabar spinach berries and Tessu,” Palta said.
“Using dried flowers of Bougainvillea for purple colour, rose petals for red and Orange peel for orange colour, we can just blend it in a mixer and prepare Gulal,” Palta said.
She added that many people are unable to play Holi due to fear of reaction and infection, allergies, so they can play with these home-made natural colours.
