Universal Catholic Church to celebrate Ash Wednesday in Indore on Feb 17, 2021

On February 17, 2021, the universal Catholic Church, as well as all the churches of the Catholic diocese of Indore (Red church including nine churches in the city), will celebrate the Ash-Wednesday, taking all the precautions of Covid-19 as instructed by the honorable Pope. That is, the priests will remind the believers by sprinkling ashes on their heads instead of making a sign of the cross by ash on their forehead reminding them - You are dust and to dust you will return.

From this day onwards Lent (forty days fasting, repentance, atonement, donating to the needy, asking forgiveness, and forgive others) will start. During forty days from 18.02.2021 to 25.03.2021 (excluding Sundays and Fridays), worship will be held daily from 06:30 to 07:30 in Red church. Every Friday evening there will be Way of the Cross at 06:30.
