Madhya Pradesh: ’Education is a way to transform female’s life, needs supportive thought-process’ discuss Madhya Pradesh Domestic Workers Movement and Trade Union
To celebrate Republic day and National Girl Child Day and bring a positive change in society, Madhya Pradesh Domestic Workers Movement and Trade Union organised an awareness program for girl Children on their Rights and the importance of education at St Raphael’s School campus Indore.
Around 80 girl children of domestic workers from different slums of Indore city gathered for the program.
Director of Madhya Pradesh Domestic Workers Movement and Trade Union Sr Rosina Joseph addressed the children and said, “Along with awareness of the rights of girls, we also have to emphasize on the importance and the significance of their education and health.”
Sr Ganga Rawat said, “Education has an important role in the transformation of society but this will come into the reality only when we willing make choice to bring changes in our thought patterns and beliefs about our girls and daughter in the families and society.” She added that bright future of daughters depends on our thought process and supportive actions.
“Therefore we need to have big dreams for them and give them total support not only observed day but every day of their life,” Ganga said.
Sangeeta Chauhan shared her experiences with children.
Children from different area wise presented a short cultural program which included short plays and beautiful dances. Francina Nelson was the master of the ceremony. Abhay Jatav gave the vote of thanks to all the guests present, after which the program was concluded with the national Anthem.
