Christian community will light the candles of hope, love, peace and happiness on Sunday and celebrate the beginning of Advent period.
Advent is a season of the liturgical year observed in most Christian denominations as a time of expectant waiting and preparation for both the celebration of the Nativity of Christ at Christmas and the return of Christ at the Second Coming.
Father Biju Mathew of St. Francis Cathedral Red Church, Indore said, “The Advent period invites us to fully offer our lives to the Lord. Traditionally, almost all the churches are made in a circular shape with green soft twigs, inside which four candles are placed. This light is a symbol of Jesus Christ himself.”
