Due to heavy rainfall and water logging, about 45 government schools in state and 24 in Indore district were in swamp and damaged. In need of urgent repairs, government schools are losing hope as school principals couldn’t care less and fail to apply for the funds of repair despite repeated reminders from district education officer (DEO).
On Monday, DEO in-charge Sanjay Goyal sent a notice to 24 government schools in Indore district seeking an explanation for not submitting requisite information for repair funds. Citing their responsibilities and sanctioning of funds, he ordered the schools to submit all the necessary details for repairs in the school within 3 days.
