First contestant to sit on hot seat in this season of Kaun Banega Crorepati was from Indore.
Aarti Jagtap from Madhya Pradesh is set to be the first contestant of the latest season. Her mother (Sushma) works as house help and her father (Narayan) is a plumber by profession.
Aarti is 20 years old and pursuing engineering from Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS).
Born and brought up in Bhopal, Aarti is a determined girl who has high dreams. She lives in Anna Nagar, where she has lived in kuccha house. "There are many people still living in tin house there," she said.
Just a day after celebrations of Daughter's Day, Aarti is an example of how far girls can excel. "My parents are supporting me and my dreams, so I hope someone learns from them," Aarti said.
Sharing her personal issues, Aarti discussed body image issues. "People often tease me and comment on my weight, which is hurtful, but I want my success to answer them," she said.
Aarti wants to become an IAS officer.
Lockdown was tough for her family and they even had to take up a loan to bear their daily expenses.
Narayana, Aarti's father said, "Whatever we have suffered in life, we want to fulfill both our daughters dreams."
Host and actor Amitabh Bachchan praised Aarti's parents on the show and said that the daughters of the country must be educated. At the same time, Big B also praised and cheered Aarti's game.
