Independence Day India 2020: 3D rangoli & prayers for fighting covid-19

The usual grand celebrations of Independence Day will be missed this year, as most celebrations will go online and only unfurling of the National Flag ceremony will be organised in schools and other places with limitation of 5 people. 

However, to celebrate the day and pray for our country, Indoreans are sending out positive messages and planning events online. 

Chairperson of Indore Sahodaya School Complex UK Jha said, “We will miss having children this year and the usual celebrations, but with permission from district administration, we will unfurl the National Flag in schools with maximum 5 staff members.” 

Green India, free from Corona

An environmentalist Zafar Shaikh shared his unique bonsai preparation for Independence Day. He prayed to nature to heal us from coronavirus and help India in becoming ‘Green Zone’. 

“I want to show Green India, the country free form coronavirus and in sync with nature,” Shaikh said. He prepared the map of India by growing a bonsai using 4 plants of Carmona.“It took 4 years to bring this plant in a complete form showing green India,” Shaikh said.

He prepared this special bonsai in a ceramic bonsai pot using black soil, cow dunk, sand, aluminium wire and neem khali (a type of fertilizer). 

3D Rafale RangoliCity malls which are crowded with shoppers from all the age-groups will also miss the usual celebrations and events of Independence Day. However, this year, they have kept up the tradition of decorating and celebrating the day with decorations and creativity. 

Mall manager Amit Arora said, “We are paying respect to every Indian for their efforts in controlling coronavirus outspread.” He added that this year to celebrate the day, they have made 3D rangoli of Rafale. 

“India's air force received five new Rafale fighter jets amid ongoing border tensions with China recently and it is a moment of pride for us,” Arora said.

Before Pentecost, Christian community helps underprivileged families with ration

Prior to Pentecost, Christian community is following the lessons taught by Jesus Christ and helping those in need. In their drive to help underprivileged families, Christian volunteers forming a group are providing ration packets to them. Christian holiday of Pentecost, which is celebrated the 49th day (the seventh Sunday) after Easter Sunday, will be celebrated on May 31 this year. The holiday commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ. What are the precautions for prevention of corona virus? Special instructions for School Students

School Education Department issued an advisory to all the school heads and officers regarding precautions to be taken against the deadly novel coronavirus to prevent the spread of infection among school children. The advisory was sent out at the direction of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India with a photocopy of the letter attached. The department in its advisory stated that the world is fighting against the rapid spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). In India, too, the number of cases identified has increased in the last few days.
