Contact 0731-2367214 for food & help, Control room for NGOs coordination: 42 organisations registered already


Keeping in view the situation of lock-down and curfew, a control room has been set up in Indore to coordinate the arrangement of food, medicines etc. for the disabled and elderly persons.
Suchitra Tirkey Beck (9893860721), Joint Director, Social Justice, Indore, is the nodal officer for the drive. Shailendra Solanki (9827392991), Assistant Grade-3, has been appointed as Assistant Nodal Officer.
To request for services, people can contact the control room on 0731-2367214. Additional Collector and District Magistrate Dinesh Jain informed that at present, food is being served by various social service organizations for the disabled, elderly and such people who do not have food. Work will be done by the said institutions for the next one week.
If any other organization wants to work in this area, then they can register their organization name, mobile number, work area and vehicle number on the above mentioned numbers of nodal officers or WhatsApp number 9827392991 from 11 am to 5 pm.
According to the requirement, cooperation will be sought from the said institutions for work. Institutions who want to distribute food etc. under their police station area can distribute food by informing the concerned police station in-charge.
So far, 42 organisations have registered themselves to serve in different areas of city.

Before Pentecost, Christian community helps underprivileged families with ration

Prior to Pentecost, Christian community is following the lessons taught by Jesus Christ and helping those in need. In their drive to help underprivileged families, Christian volunteers forming a group are providing ration packets to them. Christian holiday of Pentecost, which is celebrated the 49th day (the seventh Sunday) after Easter Sunday, will be celebrated on May 31 this year. School Education Department issued an advisory to all the school heads and officers regarding precautions to be taken against the deadly novel coronavirus to prevent the spread of infection among school children.
