Beating cold with fitness, Fit India Ambassador Aarti
Maheshwari organised a zumba session in snow at Nathula Pass, Sikkim. As the
temperature hit minus 10 degree Celsius, Aarti decided to plan an impromptu
training of zumba with local residents and women group.
Gathering the local residents, Aarti quoted the importance
of fitness and not just losing weight. “Not everyone who is skinny is healthy,
so we must understand the importance of staying fit in every condition,” she
said.
Aarti noted that physical activities like Zumba and Pilates
can help people stay physically as well as mentally healthy. “We often ignore
our fitness and health while on vacation, but staying fit should be our happy
lifestyle choice even during vacations,” she said.
She noted the various changes a person experiences during
winters and vacations. “These changes like tardiness can be easily tackled by
just 20 minutes of active workout or dance,” Aarti said.
