‘Yuletide’ themed Christmas celebrated as ‘Joy of Giving’

Conceptualised as ‘Yuletide’, students of class X section ‘A’ organised the annual Christmas celebrations at St Raphael’s School quoting the importance of sharing and giving as a part of festivities.
Students celebrated the day concluding their week-long celebrations of ‘Joy of Giving’. School staff and students donated various articles including woollens, stationary items, grocery, biscuits, etc. to the old age homes and orphanages during the week.
On the concluding day, students captured the essence of Christmas with bright coloured decorations. The entire campus was festooned with colourful streams, stars and brightly coloured papers.
The significance of the festival was explained through the Tableau prepared by students. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of all the children.
School principal Sister Jancy Joseph in her address urged the students to learn the gift of giving, the gift of forgiveness and the gift of love and prayers.
“Let’s make this Christmas a special one by kindling the flame of charity and making a difference in the lives of the lesser fortunate ones,” she said.
Jancy reminded students the basic education is to be good human beings and responsible citizens. “Christmas the festival of sharing, caring and giving joy,” she said.
