Over the weekend, schools celebrated Christmas in the campus as the winter vacations begin. The little blooming buds of Delhi International School (DIS) celebrated Christmas with gusto and reverence.
Children were overjoyed when Santa came to their school grounds and cheered them up with sweets and candies.
School mentor Inayat Russian Qureshi, ex-chairman, MP state Haj shared the significance of Christmas through the story of Jesus Christ and to inculcate the spirit of sharing. He blessed children with good wishes.
School patron Liyakat Ali said, “Christmas brings cheer and love and we celebrate it with same fervour spreading the message of love and joy among the children.”
School managing committee members Moir Qureshi and Kadir Qureshi quoted the importance of celebrations and acceptance of every religion.
School Principal Manju Nautiyal wished Merry Christmas to the little children and conveyed message to spread love and peace in the society. “We must learn to respect human life before anything else, if we look at the world with positivity then, we are bound to have a peaceful and pleasant world,” she said.
Primary coordinator Pooja Panchbhai shared the importance of sharing joy.
