3-day 8th Bible Mahotsav from today, over 6k Christians to attend

Over 6,000 Christians from all over the state will gather at St Arnold’s School, Lala Ram Nagar from Thursday for the three-day 8^th Bible Mahotsav 2019. In a press conference announcing the three-day fest, Bishop of Indore Rev Chacko Thottumarickal SVD shared that father Anil Dev from Varanasi will be the main speaker of the three-day event.

“There are 9 dioceses in MP other than Indore and bishops from all the diocese will be attending the mahotsav and sharing their views with community members,” Thottumarickal said.

Archbishop Leo Cornelio SVD from Bhopal would be another main speaker of the event to address youngsters. President of Indore Christian Media Forum Fr John Paul SVD said, “We started organising this fest, because an important aspect of our community is togetherness and sharing love.” As people moved to different places and colonies, interactions were limited and the communal feel was vanishing.

“This is like the Christian version of Diwali, which we are celebrating on the same days as Dhanteras, Choti Diwali and Diwali,” Paul said.
