Navratri Looks: Mock Make-Ups, trends for 2019 Garba season

The nine days of colour, glamour, devotion, dance and celebrations begin from this Sunday, and Garba lovers are not only preparing to glam up with new colourful attire everyday for nine-days, but already testing their looks with mock make-ups in Indore. This is a new fad of the season, where women are going to parlours shooting their look of the season, finding the best nine looks for the Navratri Garba Season 2019.
Ready to woo the glam garba divas, make-up artists have also come up with a blend of new styles customised to make them stand apart.
Among famous trends, the following are popular choices and perfect ways shared by make-up artists Sapna Shukla, Ziya Khan and Shweta Jaiswal to glam up your look with the right make for Garba fest:
Go loud and bold with eye shadows
Since the event takes place during the night, you need to choose some bold shades for the eyes so that it is visible in the fierce lights of the Dandiya ground. When we say bold, then we are not talking about glitters and some specific shades. This season, the tilt is towards fluorescent shades, as they are bold, easily spotted and yet not glittery. Pink, orange, green, yellow and blue are all hip colours that will match most Navratri outfits.
 Colourless Ram-Leela look
If you recall the popular look of Deepika Padukone in the movie Ram Leela, then you are not alone. This look has many takers. It is much easier than it sounds. The look concentrates on highlighting the skin over colours. This look can be achieved by light glittery base creation using foundation with brown tones. The highlight in this is look is tattoos prepared by using black coloured dots and designs over head, chin and neck.
Essentials for completing the look
Apply glitter based nail paint for the perfect festive combination of colours and shimmers.
Wear your accessories and secure them with bobby pins so that while dancing they don’t come flying to the ground.
Go for a braided look or a simple hairdo which securely holds the hair away from the face. Dancing with your hair flying into everyone’s face is not ideal.
A traditional festival calls for a complete traditional look and for that compliment your look with a simple or stone bindi.
Basics must remember for Navratri looks
·         Don’t go all out with stronger pigments that might smudge easily – this makes the mess more evident.
·         Blot and tone your face before you begin with your makeup application.
·         When doing your base, stick to using powders or cream based products – steer clear of liquid foundations that could breakdown when you break into a sweat.
·         Always finish off with setting spray or face mist. This holds the makeup in place and creates a protective layer that makes it last longer as the heat rises.
