It seems that Aavantika gas limited is the
enjoying ‘dadagiri’ in some areas in the city by digging up pits in front of
residence and hospitals with no need to work upon them for over a month. The company
has dug up roads leaving pits outside various houses in the city, and residents
are finding no way out.
Among many, Agrawal family,
bothered by the issue, has been trying to find a way to close the large pit
that has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes and trash. The family of
doctors urged the company to close down the pit until they are going to work on
it, but to no use.
After filing several complaints, the
helpless family approached Indore Municipal Corporation officers. Sadly, it is
has been repeated complaints for over a month, but not even IMC is taking an
action upon it, as per the family.
“This pit has been dug up outside our house
for over 1 month by Aavantika company. Despite repeated complaints to the company
and IMC, no action has been taken. Even mosquitoes, moulds, parasites, trash
etc has started growing on it,” the family members explained.
When approached zonal officer of the area
Nagendra Bhadauria, he did not have a response to it. Finally, after enquiring
the area of the pit, he said, “We will go down and check the pit tomorrow.”
Contacting the company seems impossible
even during emergency. The company did not respond to customer care numbers or
emergency call numbers. Neither did anyone call back.
