Transforming self, experiencing mother's love

Mothers not only give birth to their kids, they are the ones who make a helpless baby into an independent happy individual. Having received birth from a different mother and found strength from another one, 28-year-old businessman Arjun Chourasia has understood the true meaning of motherhood.

In the absence of mothers loving arms, Arjun had not known what a mother is, until his aunt Meena Chourasia entered his life. “I do not know about my blood mother, because I never saw her,” he said.
However, his life was touched by love when Meena took him in her arms as a baby and loved her as her own. “When a person has not known what a mother feels like, it is magically like nature’s wonders when motherly love enters our life,” Arjun said.
While Meena had her family and responsibilities, she could not stop herself from caring for the little baby in her family. “Arjun had been the most soft-spoken, down-to-earth and innocent child in our family,” she said.
As Arjun grew up, his father decided to marry again. “I was young and I did not understand much, but with my aunt helping me through the transformation, everything seemed easier,” Arjun said.
Coming from a humble background, Arjun did not have too many friends at first. “I was shy and introvert, but then my aunt helped me in accepting myself,” Arjun said.
He was scared of being different and afraid of dejection. “With her endless love and encouragement, I learned to talk to people, make friends and eventually find acceptance from within,” Arjun said.
He explained that acceptance of self, succeeding in education, working towards dreams are among those important lessons that he learned from his aunt. “My heart does not break for not having a birth mother, I might be curious, but that is it,” Arjun said.

He elaborated that mother is not just a noun, it is a verb. “Everything a mother does is what turns a woman to a mother and it is the most magically thing happening on this earth,” Arjun said.
He explained that mothers can make everything look pretty with their soft blows and sweet smiles. “Those little moments with my aunt have been all I know about mother and these moments have made my life as beautiful and complete as anyone can have,” Arjun said.
