Rajya Shiksha Kendra, Madhya Pradesh (RSKMP) released admit cards for the Class 5 and Class 8 annual exams 2024-25. Students can download their admit card from RSKMP examination portal (www.educationportal.mp.gov.in).
These admit cards are crucial for students to appear in the upcoming exams, and it is the responsibility of the Jan Shiksha Kendra in-charge and Jan Shikshaks to ensure that all students receive their admit cards. Schools must verify all details, including student profiles, selected subjects, and the medium of examination, and make necessary corrections on the portal if required.
The exams for both classes are scheduled to begin on February 24, 2025. The Class 5 exams will be held from February 24 to March 1, 2025, and the Class 8 exams will run from February 24 to March 5, 2025. Both exams will be conducted in the afternoon shift, from 2 PM to 4:30 PM.
Important Instructions for Schools and Students:
• School in-charges must carefully check the information on the provisional admit cards and update any discrepancies on the examination portal promptly. Any errors in the admit card must be corrected immediately to avoid confusion on exam day.
• Students should review their admit cards to ensure all information is accurate. If any details are incorrect, it must be reported to the school authorities for correction.
• Admit cards will be available for download 2-3 weeks before the exam dates, and it is essential to have them before appearing for the exams.
Changed pattern for exams, prepare accordingly
New Exam Pattern and Evaluation for 2024-25: This year, RSKMP has introduced significant changes to the exam structure. The exams will feature 60 marks for the written examination, 20 marks for project work, and 20 marks for half-yearly exams. The half-yearly exams will follow a prescribed blueprint, with government schools receiving prepared question papers, while non-government schools will generate their own papers based on the same format.
Competency-Based Assessments: The exams will also incorporate competency-based questions. Multiple-choice questions (MCQs) will test 50% understanding, 30% application, and 10% knowledge recall. The aim is to shift from traditional rote learning to a more application-based, skill-driven assessment, promoting critical thinking and analytical skills.
Exam Fairness and Passing Criteria: Students must secure a minimum of 33% marks in both external and internal assessments to pass. If a student does not meet the required marks, they will be given supplementary teaching and the opportunity to reappear for the exam within two months. However, no student will be expelled, as no child will be denied elementary education.
