Re-allotment of MP Board class 5 & 8 exam centres in specific cases
Examination centres for Rajya Shiksha Kendra (RSK) board exams for class 5 and class 8 will be re-allotted if the distance between their school and the exam centre is found to be too much. This was announced by CEO of the Jila Panchayat, Siddharth Jain in a bid to ensure that students do not miss their board examinations.
Further, to ensure a smooth and fair examination experience, Jain has issued instructions to review the centres by the Department of Public Instruction (DPC) and District Education Officer (DEO) to ensure that all 58 cases of far-off centres are addressed. Jain has instructed officials to revise these allotments accordingly to ensure ease of access for all students.
In the Indore district alone, a total of 314 exam centres have been set up for the upcoming MP Board exams for Class 5 and Class 8. A total of 2,687 schools in the district have registered to appear for the exams. While the approval for one exam centre is still pending, the district is well-prepared for the exams set to begin on February 24, 2025.
Across the broader Indore division, which includes districts like Alirajpur, Barwani, Burhanpur, Dhar, Indore, Jhabua, Khandwa, and Khargone, 2,139 exam centres have been approved so far, catering to a total of 19,413 schools. However, there are still four exam centres awaiting approval in this division.
The MP Board exams for Class 5 will begin on February 24 and will run until March 1, 2025. Meanwhile, the Class 8 exams will commence on the same date and continue until March 5, 2025. All exams will be conducted in the afternoon shift, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
