Along with the right to vote, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) gave a green flag to class 12 students to finalise their admissions in college by declaring the result. Further, class 10 students also received their results required for promotion to higher secondary.
The results doubled the celebrations in the city, as students performed extremely well. Keeping up their winning streak, girls outshone boys in CBSE results of class 10 and 12.
The board did not declare a topper’s list to avoid unnecessary competition and stress. Indore saw stiff competition as students competed for top place with 0.6 percent differences.
As there were too many successful candidates that bagged excellent results, it was a tough task to determine city toppers. With the results received by us, we can conclude the following as our city achievers.
In class 10, the highest marks in city were scored by Sudeeksha Tripathi. Sudeeksha scored 99.20 percentile. Not far behind was Divyank Bhattad with 99 percentile. Further Ananya Wadhwani, Khushi Mishra and Anvesh Gami both aced class 10 exams with 98.8 percent.
In class 12, the top achievers in the city were:
Ishan Shrivastava scored 97.8 per cent and was Humanities topper.
Samaksh Jain achieved 97.4 per cent and was commerce city topper.
Nupur Lakhotia bagged first place in Science (PCB) and second city topper position with 98.2 percent.
Keshavi Lakhotia was the city topper and science (PCM) topper with 97.4 per cent.

Cousins become city toppers, PCB & PCM Toppers
Nupur Lakhotia became the city topper of Biology (98.2 percent) and Kesavi Lakhotia of Maths (97.4 percent). Nupur and Kesavi are cousins. Nupur wants to become a psychologist while Kesavi wants to become an engineer. For this reason, after 10th both of them chose different subjects. Nupur said, “Despite studying together, we both compete to get ahead of each-other.”
Along with studies, these sisters also participated enthusiastically in science quizzes, debates and speech competitions. Nupur said, “Apart from Maths and Bio, we studied other subjects together.” Due to this the chemistry of our physics became stronger. Kesavi said, “Now I want to do B.Tech in Data Science from IIT. That's why I am busy preparing for JEE advance.”

"I am trying to clear IPMAT and CUET. My dream college is SRCC and IIM Indore. I want to become a successful CEO of a reputed company. It will give me a social recognition and respect in the society. I want to do something on my own. I was always clear that I want to pursue commerce. I have always been interesting. I didn't love studying science as a subject. My father (Amit) is a businessman. My mother (Payal) is a homemaker. They have always supported me financially and mentally. They have always been there for me. My advice to other aspirants is: just keep your goal in your mind and go with the flow."

Free Press celebrated the success of students in Indore. Achievers of CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 were welcomed to our office with open arms. In their interaction with Free Press, the top scoring students shared their experience, advice and dreams.

"I want to become a doctor like my parents (Dr Deepti and Dr Vivek Agnihotri). I have an elder brother (Vinayak) in class 12. I have been scoring over 90 marks. I love playing football and tennis. I even got a gold medal karate. We had half yearly then two pre-boards, I was quite tired then. I motivated myself and it helped. I studied 15 hours everyday. My dad told me to relax, but I had a goal to follow. I scored 100/100 in Math and 98/100 in science. My suggestion to aspirants is to practise and solve questions regularly. I studied with the help of youtube and cleared my concepts too."

Before Pentecost, Christian community helps underprivileged families with ration

Prior to Pentecost, Christian community is following the lessons taught by Jesus Christ and helping those in need. In their drive to help underprivileged families, Christian volunteers forming a group are providing ration packets to them. Christian holiday of Pentecost, which is celebrated the 49th day (the seventh Sunday) after Easter Sunday, will be celebrated on May 31 this year. The holiday commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ. What are the precautions for prevention of corona virus? Special instructions for School Students

School Education Department issued an advisory to all the school heads and officers regarding precautions to be taken against the deadly novel coronavirus to prevent the spread of infection among school children. The advisory was sent out at the direction of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India with a photocopy of the letter attached. The department in its advisory stated that the world is fighting against the rapid spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). In India, too, the number of cases identified has increased in the last few days.
