New way of Practical Training for CBSE students
Indore students learn through bootcamps, internships, prototype development, start-ups

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is promoting 21st century skills especially Artificial Intelligence (AI) by providing a centralised online bootcamp. While bootcamps have been a concept for engineering graduates to acquire advanced skills, this concept would be used for practical hands-on learning now starting academic session 2023 – 24 for high school students. In a first such attempt, a free online bootcamp for the CBSE students with AI subjects in class 9 and class 10 would be organised in July and August.
The bootcamp will require students to work for 12 days in an intensive training program. The program would accept 120 to 150 students from CBSE schools across the country.
Top CBSE schools in Indore appreciated the concept, but feel that more is needed for practical training of students. Many schools in the city motivate students to take up a venture, opt for an internship and attempt to create a prototype to gain practical knowledge.
Sharing details, school principals explained their take and noted benefits of hands-on training for students’ future.
Internships mandatory to compete Globally
“Our school students often go out for higher studies and if they must stand at par with students in other countries especially USA and Canada. Hence, we ensure that students have voluntary experience, undergo practical training, internships and develop skills. The bootcamp from CBSE is a positive step for students to learn and undergo proper training.”

Indore is first to promote research in Schools
“In this year’s CBSE regional conference that was held at Indore, we had discussed possible ways to ensure practical learning among students. CBSE bootcamp is one such idea that would be a supportive function. However, it is still required that we continue to work on other hands-on approaches as well. Indore is initiating and promoting the idea of in-depth research and research writing work among school students.”

Start from Maths to AI
“AI bootcamps online provide students with extensive support to ensure they land a job in the future. AI scientists believe that what people think about AI is that it is all magic, but it isn't magic, it's the mathematics that creates magic behind all the inventions. So, we ensure that students focus on such conceptual subjects and use it wisely in skills like AI.”

Before Pentecost, Christian community helps underprivileged families with ration

Prior to Pentecost, Christian community is following the lessons taught by Jesus Christ and helping those in need. In their drive to help underprivileged families, Christian volunteers forming a group are providing ration packets to them. Christian holiday of Pentecost, which is celebrated the 49th day (the seventh Sunday) after Easter Sunday, will be celebrated on May 31 this year. The holiday commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ. Under the drive, ration packets are given to 200 to 250 people on a regular basis. “Christ was the ultimate social worker. Not only could he find housing for people, or give them free food,” Ashutosh Joseph, a volunteer said. He cited that in the Bible, God's call to His followers to care for other human beings is clear (Philippians 2:4; 1 John 3:17-18; Proverbs 19:17 New International Version). “In fact, Jesus states that one of the most important commandments is ‘love your neighbour...
