The session was led by educationist Seema Soni, wherein she guided the parents on taking care of children’s hair and other basic hygiene for specially-abled children. Soni, while talking about hair care and advised parents to never wash hair with soap. "Soaps result in dryness and hairfall, which can further cause various scalp issues, so it is better never to use soaps and use gentle shampoos," she said. Soni further discussed problems faced by children and gave personalised suggestions. "Winters are harsh in Indore with cold waves, so taking special care of skin and hair is necessary," she said. If further, the DEO officer continues to take it slow, then these 10,000 students will not able to attend board examinations of Class 5 and Class 8. This would mean a year’s gap for these students with no fault of their own. With the end of the Diwali holidays and requirements of irrigation for crops for the Rabi season, the demand for electricity in Malwa-Nimar region increased by 1200 MW to a maximum of 5280 MW in the last ten days. Managing director of Madhya Pradesh West Zone Electricity Distribution Company (West Discom) Amit Tomar said, “There has been an increase in the demand of electricity in all 15 districts including Indore.” This increase was recorded in the range of 5 to 30 percent. Tomar added that there are more than 13 lakh irrigation pumps in the area, which are actively used in Rabi season. “The demand for electricity for irrigation would increase further during the next three to four weeks,” he said. Tomar said that during the last 24 hours, a total of nine crore eighteen lakh units of electricity have been distributed in the company area, while a total of 1 crore 51 lakh units were supplied in Indore district. Providing paperless bills to customers on phones and accepting online payments bumps up the payments as Madhya Pradesh West Zone Electricity Distribution Company (West Discom) records highest bill payments in state, i.e. two hundred crore in October from Indore city. Consumers have deposited more than two hundred crores for in October in Indore city. This was the highest in the state to be submitted for settlement of bills to Discom. This increase is credited to online payments as more than 70 per cent customers paid through various cashless payment methods. In Malwa-Nimar, maximum electricity was used in Indore city, and hence, the highest amount was received from the city. In October, five lakh consumers have deposited more than two hundred crores in Indore city. About 3.5 lakh consumers have made cashless payment through credit cards, debit cards, Paytm, PhonePe, Google Pay, Amazon, MP Online etc. They have also been given exemption on every bill as per the regulatory commission.
