Animals- the parcel of God
Animals have been companions to man since time immemorial. To maintain a healthy ecological balance on this land animal, plants and marine species are as important as humans but unfortunately many birds and animals are endangered today.
To some people, the suggestion of rights for animals might sound too petty to be considered an issue worth pondering over.
Yes, animals too have rights. And this needs to be realized especially in the light of the fact that human existence is a part and parcel of nature, which is the ultimate controlling force.
Humans may have gained independence to support themselves but ecology still demands a harmonious relation between the animal kingdom and human existence to sustain its balance. Just as humans, animals too have the right to a free existence, right not to be killed, right to natural habitat and right to be protected against extinction.
Unfortunately, all these rights have been grossly violated by humans. The extinction of wild species will certainly have a fatal impact on the human race.
Therefore, all the human beings must keep in mind that cruelty to creatures is cruelty to the creator and each one of us should try to be a master and not a monster.
