Learn detachment from Shiva
Har har Mahadev! On this occasion of Mahashivratri, may lord Shiva bless you with health wealth & wisdom. Lord Shiva is a member of the Hindu trinity. As mentioned in our scriptures, there are three Gunas- Satva (mode of goodness), Rajas (mode of passion), & Tamas (mode of ignorance). Vishnu rules sattva guna, Brahma rajas, and shiva tamas. But you all must be thinking why Shiva, the purest is the ruler of the mode of ignorance. Actually, Shiva is the ruler of people in tamas (bhoot, pret) to guide them on the right path as he himself is above all gunas. Like a teacher who taught an intelligent student may not get the appreciation that a teacher will get after teaching a weak student and making him intelligent. That’s the position of Lord Shiva. Once to teach humans an important lesson of life, lord Shiva performed this Lila. Once goddess Parvati asked the Lord to make a nice house for them and he did. He made a great castle floating in the sky. For the Graha Pravesh puja, he called many brahmins. After the puja ended, he was giving Dakshina to the purohits. The last one of them asked him for the house for which the puja was organized. But lord gave that house to him immediately. From this, he gave the important lesson of vairagya or detachment. Lord is capable of giving anything to devotees but never gets attached to those things. Like he could say to the brahmin that asks for anything else but as he wasn’t attached to the house, he immediately gave it. In our life too, we should not get attached to anything and this will reduce the tamas in us. So this mahashivratri, this was an amazing lesson we learned an important lesson from Lord Shiva. So I’ll meet you next time. Till then- Har Har Mahadev!

Christian holiday of Pentecost, which is celebrated the 49th day (the seventh Sunday) after Easter Sunday, will be celebrated on May 31 this year. The holiday commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ. Under the drive, ration packets are given to 200 to 250 people on a regular basis. “Christ was the ultimate social worker. Not only could he find housing for people, or give them free food,” Ashutosh Joseph, a volunteer said. He cited that in the Bible, God's call to His followers to care for other human beings is clear (Philippians 2:4; 1 John 3:17-18; Proverbs 19:17 New International Version). “In fact, Jesus states that one of the most important commandments is ‘love your neighbour...
