Holi- The Festival of Colours
Colours, what does this word imply? This vibrant life we have! The present! All of the colors represent some emotion- zeal, boredom, peace, hatred, anger, courage, love, and so much more. Prahlada survived the fire because he prayed to Vishnu, while Holika got burned. This marked the victory of good over evil. On this festival of colors, hatred is perished and devotion, loyalty, truth is cherished. According to other myths, Krishna smeared some colors on Radha’s face and she falls in love with him. Both of these stories are famous in different parts of the world. So, we understand that though the colors are different, the emotion of LOVE remains the same to this day. Holi- Tiny word, tremendous bliss. The day to drench in the colors of love, care, fun, joy, and to dissolve in the sweetness of Gujiyas!
Just all the good feelings, good vibes the colors stand for. Holi is all about embracing and love. Embracing the imperfections and flaws. Though the rainbow colors become a dull mixture at the end, it has its own distinct beauty and magnificence. As they say, it’s all about enjoying the process rather than waiting for the results.
If you want to understand life, we can simply understand this little festival of colors. Life works just like Holi. It’s the day when we forget all our grudges, just like we do after Holi when that dull mixture of colors gets washed up, and all that’s left is moments, memories to cherish later and forever.
