Indore: Stationary items were distributed for the children of Domestic Workers

Under corona relief campaign, Christian community members distributed stationary items to domestic workers and their children at St Raphael’s School Auditorium under Madhya Pradesh Domestic Workers Movement.
Stationary items like Copies, pens, pencils and colors were distributed for the slum children. Around 130 domestic workers' children were the beneficiaries from different slums of Indore city.
The Chief Guest of the program was the provincial of Pavitra Atma Sevika Sangh Sister Manju Lakra SSpS and Special Guest was Sister Mary Stella.
Sr Manju in her address said that children have the right to education. Further, giving the example of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, explained about the fundamental rights of the Indian Constitution. She added that only education can take us to the highest peak.
Sister Rosina Joseph SSpS, director of the movement said that everyone has faced lots of obstacles during the COVID -19 pandemic. "Every sector in the society has been affected, especially the education of children. So we have decided to encourage the children by providing them stationary items so that they can continue their studies," she said.
One of the beneficiaries, Abhishek Chauhan who residents at Indrish Nagar Basti said, "I am so glad to receive study materials. It's motivating."
Sister Jancy Joseph, Sister Valsa Joseph and other members were present for the event.
