ABVP members of Madhya Pradesh: Dr Mohan Yadav minister of higher education quotes 'Alternate Evaluation' suggested & accepted during Corona Pandemic

The 53rd Provincial Session of the Central India Province of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) was held at the Brilliant Convention Center on Sunday, where more than more than 800 workers from 35 districts attended the session.
Chief Guest Higher Education Minister Mohan Yadav said that ABVP has played an important role in getting the exam done during the transition. Earlier, general promotion was being given to students like the rest of the states, but many academicians opposed it in UG Final and PG Final Semester.
“If the degree is written as 'GP' or General Promotion, then the morale of the students will be broken, because evaluation of students without examination in companies is not considered correct,” Yadav said.
Further, there was the option of general promotion in UG first-second year and open book examination in the final year. “The organization even suggested evaluating students in seven different ways. Later, an examination was conducted in the state as soon as agreement was reached,” Yadav said.
He added that other states are likely to follow MP’s evaluation now. Yadav said, “Government is very serious about implementing the new education policy. Apart from educational institutions, students will get a new direction on higher education.”
National Ministers Gajendra Tomar, State President Manoj Arya, Yogesh Raghuvanshi, Shalini Verma, Dhanshyam Chauhan sat on the dais.
Tourism Minister Usha Thakur, Water Resources Minister Tulsi Silavat, MLA Malini Gaur and BJP leaders were also present. Karan Mulchandani from ABVP said that a photo exhibition was inaugurated showing activities of ABVP.
The convention passed three resolutions, including the current scenario, the educational landscape and self-sufficient India. The new executive of the organization was announced.
