Indore: Prestige Institute of Management Research Dewas: Teachers must increase their technical knowledge continuously

Faculty development programmes are very useful for teachers' analysis. Teaching and medical treatment are very noble professions. While in the medical profession, doctors take care of the physical health of individuals, in teaching profession teachers take care of mental health. The new National Education Policy 2020 is useful for the skill and technical development of students. This was stated by Dean Research and Development of Shishukunj International School Indore, Asha Bhatia as a keynote in the Faculty Development Program organized by Prestige Institute of Management, Dewas on the subject of National Education Policy 2020.

She said that technology can never replace teachers but technically skilled teachers can take the place of any teacher, so teachers should continue to increase their technical knowledge continuously. She also advised the teachers to visit the Deeksha Portal and CBSE website regularly for self-assessment.

Professor S. S. Bhakar of Prestige Management Institute, Gwalior, another keynote speaker of the programme, describing the National Education Policy 2020 as useful for formal education said that the main objective of the new National Education Policy is to make India a superpower in the field of education globally and to enhance the quality of education in the country.

He said that children in India need to be made aware of the importance of quality of education along with technology and creativity so that the quality of education can be improved. Dr. Prakash Chaudhary, Principal of Prestige Public School Indore was the chief guest of the programme. Dr. Amitabh Joshi, Director, Prestige Management Institute, Dewas, said that the main objective of Virtual FDP is to bring out the importance of teacher and faculty development in the light of National Education Policy (NEP), 2020.

Dr. Ashima Joshi, Senior Faculty of Prestige Management Institute, Dewas said that a large number of PGT teachers from various schools in the district attended the faculty development program.
