First OTBA revision test for MPBSE students of classes 9th to 12th begins on November 20

District education officer (DEO) in-charge Sanjay Goyal conducted a meeting with all the school principals in district sharing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and checking for requisite preparations for revisions examinations on Thursday.

All the school principals were further asked to conduct an online or offline meet with parents to discuss the process and arrangement of examinations. Most schools completed the parent-teacher meeting online on Thursday asking parents to ensure requisite precautions for their child.

Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education Revision Tests for Class IX to XII will commence from November 20.

To ensure safety and smooth conduct of examination, all the preparations have been completed by the department.

For the first time when students will be attempting all the subject revision test in OTBA (Open Text Book Assessment) format. In this system, students will solve question papers with the help of books.

The revision test will commence from November 20 and conclude on November 27.

“Only government school students of classes 9th to 12th will be attempting the revision test. Students willing to sit in school and have received consent from their parents of the same will be sitting in school and attempting the examination in school premises.

Students unable to attempt the examination in schools can collect their examination papers from the school premises and submit it next day in the school. This is possible as the assessment is being conducted in OTBA format.”

Parent-Teacher meet

In the parent-teacher meet, principals shared the protocols and steps taken in schools to ensure safety of children. Sanitizers were put up in all the schools, masks are mandatory and other norms to ensure social distancing.

Parents were asked for consent for sending their child to school for collecting revision test.
